The burst test has been a standard mailer certification for years. More recently indestructo and mailer a new certification test has started to be used called the Edge indestructo Crush Test (ECT). Generally, 200lb test boxes are 32 ECT. ECT is the edgewise-compressive strength, parallel to the flutes of a short column of corrugated fibreboard.
